Meet Dr. Steven Charchut
Dr. Steven Charchut is a native of the Lansing area, growing up in Okemos and attending Okemos High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University and later earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He then went on to complete specialty training in orthodontics at the University of Michigan, where he earned a Master of Science degree and conducted research in facial development and cleft palate. Dr. Charchut is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. He has practiced orthodontics in Lansing and St. Johns since 2005.
Dr. Charchut is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Michigan Association of Orthodontists, Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the C.H. Tweed Foundation of Orthodontic Research. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Central District Dental Society and as a member of the Lansing Sparrow Hospital Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Team. His clinical and genetic research has been published in the Journal of Dentistry for Children, the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Laryngoscope Medical Journal.
Dr. Charchut is married to Dr. Heather Charchut, a periodontist in Lansing, and they have two daughters, Kendall and Colette. He enjoys being involved in the community, volunteering at his children's schools, and coaching youth sports. In addition to orthodontics, Dr. Charchut is passionate about running, golfing, skiing, and traveling with his family.
